Refund Policy

Cuttle Browser

Last updated: 31 July 2026

This Refund Policy explains when a payment for a Cuttle Browser subscription can be refunded, how to request a refund, and how a refund of a cryptocurrency payment is actually made. It forms part of the Terms of Service and uses the same defined terms. This Policy is the single source on refunds: if any other document of ours describes refunds differently, this Policy governs.

1. No automatic renewal

Cuttle Browser subscriptions do not renew automatically. Each payment covers one subscription period — 30 days on a monthly plan, 365 days on an annual plan — starting when the payment is confirmed. We do not store your payment instrument, and we cannot charge you again without a new payment that you start yourself.

There is therefore no subscription to cancel and no recurring debit to stop. When the period ends, access to paid features stops and nothing further is taken from you. Profile data stored on your device is unaffected.

2. What can be refunded

  • Your first subscription payment — 14 days. If a payment is the first subscription payment made on your account, you may request a full refund of it within 14 calendar days of the date the payment was confirmed. You do not need to give a reason.
  • The Free plan involves no payment, so there is nothing to refund.
  • A refund ends the subscription: paid features stop once the refund is approved. We do not delete anything stored on your device.

3. What is not refunded

  • Payments where the request reaches us more than 14 calendar days after the payment was confirmed.
  • Any subscription period other than the first one — including repeat purchases, renewals, and payments made to change plan. Buying a different plan starts a new period; that payment is not a "first subscription payment" for the purposes of this Policy.
  • Payments on an account that we have suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms of Service.
  • Requests that form a pattern of abuse — for example, repeated purchase-and-refund cycles across one or several accounts, or a refund requested after a payment dispute has already been opened with a payment provider.
  • Amounts lost because of a wallet address or network that you supplied incorrectly (see Section 5).

Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory right you have as a consumer under the law applicable to you. Where such a right gives you more than this Policy does, that right applies.

4. How to request a refund

Write to support@cuttlebrowser.com from the email address registered to your Cuttle account, and include:

  • the email address of your Cuttle account;
  • the date and the amount of the payment;
  • the invoice number, or the transaction hash (TXID) of the cryptocurrency payment;
  • for a cryptocurrency payment, the wallet address that should receive the refund and the network it belongs to (see Section 5).

We aim to reply within 3 business days and to decide within 10 business days of receiving the information listed above. If something is missing, we will ask for it once and clearly; the 14-day window is judged by the date of your first message, not by the date the last detail arrives.

5. Refunds of cryptocurrency payments

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. There is no "reverse" button on our side: a refund is a new, separate transaction that we send by hand. That has consequences you should understand before you pay.

  • You give us the address. We refund only to a wallet address that you send us in writing, in the same network as your original payment. We do not send refunds to a different network, and we do not assume that the address the payment came from is yours or able to receive funds.
  • A wrong address or wrong network cannot be undone. Check what you send us. Funds transferred to an address or network that you specified incorrectly cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else, and will not be sent a second time.
  • Amount and exchange rate. Our prices are set in US dollars, and refunds are calculated in US dollars: you receive the US dollar amount of the original invoice, converted into the refund cryptocurrency at the market rate at the moment we send the refund. We do not compensate for exchange-rate movement between your payment and the refund, in either direction — depending on the market, you may receive more or less of a coin than you originally sent.
  • Currency of the refund. We refund in the coin and network you paid with where our payment provider supports paying it out. Where it does not, we refund in a US-dollar stablecoin in the same network, and we tell you which one before sending.
  • Network fee. The fee for the outgoing transaction is deducted from the amount refunded. It is charged by the network, not by us.
  • Timing. Once a refund is approved, we send it within 5 business days. How long it then takes to confirm depends on the network, not on us.

6. Card payments

Card payments are not available yet. When they are, a refund of a card payment will be returned to the card used for the payment, through the payment provider, and will normally appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Sections 1–4 apply to card payments in the same way.

7. If something is broken, tell us first

If the software does not start, a license does not activate, or a confirmed payment did not switch on your subscription, write to support@cuttlebrowser.com before asking for a refund. Most of these are our problems to fix, and we would rather fix the thing you paid for than take it away. Reporting a problem does not shorten your 14-day window: it is counted from the date of the payment regardless.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The version that applies to a payment is the version published at cuttlebrowser.com/refunds on the date that payment was made; changes are not applied retroactively.
